Let yourself be swayed by the Boi Caxinguelê from The Hague, try and keep up with the frevo passistas from Olinda & Recife, dance forró on the live music of Forrosá and thump away on samba de côco. Forrosá is organizing this special evening together with Mandacaru Dance, Teco Canindê and other invited friends from Pernambuco. Vai tocar fogo!

Mestre Célio Gomes (Grupo Aluandê Capoeira Angola) from Rio de Janeiro, will visit the Netherlands for the first time to share some of his experience and knowledge of Capoeira Angola. Mestre Célio Gomes has received his mestre-title from mestre Cobra Mansa, and is founder of and responsible for the Roda de Lavradio in the Lapa neighborhood.

Come celebrate the Brazilian Festa de São João with us! There’s forró, popular dances and typical Northeastern food! We start with a forró dance workshop (entry level) by Mônica Cordeiro (Mandacaru dance) at 20.30h, followed by live forró music by Forrosá, first appearance by Bumba meu Boi Caxinguelê, roda de ciranda and côco.
